Electrical Services
"Colin helped us out with running electricity to our detached garage, and installing a level 2 charger for our cars. His work was excellent and efficient. He was communicative before, during, and after the project, and he was on time each day. His initial bid was very competitive, and we're super glad that we chose Colin to work with. We're looking forward to our next project with him."

Electrical
"I have used Smith & McClain for several building projects. They are wonderful. The Electrical division is incredible, and they have done many projects for us, from re-installing outdoor lines after storm damage, installing updated fixtures, and running new lines and updating fixtures in my brand new sugar shack. Their electrical division also easily installed an updated outdoor breaker for a new hot tub, with no impacts inside the house. Collin is a great person to work with and will easily address any needs you might have. I highly recommend them for any job, large or small."

Electrical Install for Renovation or New Build, Panel Upgrades, Repair and Install Switches and Outlets
"Mike Trombley came out to the house and gave us an estimate. He was very courteous. He called to say he was running late and would arrive within 30 minutes. He has not done the work as yet because we are awaiting word on the gas hookup and the fireplace installation, but we will be calling him within a couple weeks to schedule. Thanks so much for your expert help in finding us a qualified, person. We will let you know about quality, cleanliness, and value as soon as the job is done."

A truly skilled, well-equipped professional with a truck full of parts that charges $100 an hour can be a much wiser choice than an inexperienced hack, working with inadequate tools and no parts, but charging much less. Often, more experienced professionals get the job done quickly with warrantied work.
2. Compare Travel ChargesRates reflect travel times. Travel charges can have a big impact on your costs and are in some ways easier to compare than hourly rates. Many electricians spend a third or more of their time navigating traffic on their way to a jobsite. Every contractor must find a way to pay for the expense of driving each day.
3. Bundle Repair Jobs TogetherWhen you feel it’s time to call a pro, review your list and then conduct a mini-inspection of your home. Look for faulty switches and dysfunctional or crowded outlets. When the electrician comes, you’ll save money and time by getting everything taken care of at once.
