"I would recommend Conde Tech Services to anyone in need of HVAC service, installation, and/or repair. We had an issue with our condenser tripping its fuse when running for more than a few minutes. Another HVAC company hired by our home warranty company claimed the repair would require either replacing a part, which would take weeks to deliver and install, or replacing the condenser itself, which could be accomplished faster, but would be very costly. Matthew from Conde Tech saved us weeks of aggregation or thousands of dollars when, during his inspection, he found the previous tech had misdiagnosed the issue. The fuse, not the condenser, was the problem. Matthew fixed the fuse and serviced the condenser for half the price that the previous HVAC tech quoted us for repairing the incorrect issue with the condenser (which not only wouldn’t have solved the problem, but, worse, would have left us with a continuing fire hazard). My wife and I are not only extremely satisfied with Conde Tech, we are grateful to Matthew personally for resolving an issue that put our house and safety at risk. "I have been using McCarthy Heating & Air Conditioning Inc. for over 10 years and have always been happy with their service. Today's service call was no different. The job today required coordination with my condo management company (also very good), to shut the water off to several buildings, so that a valve could be replaced under my kitchen sink. Obviously, one of the objectives was to keep the water off for as short a period as possible and give people as precise a time as possible when to expect the water to be off and back on. One company was local and RightNOW Plumbing came from much farther away. Nelson from RightNOW arrived on time and was very professional, thorough, friendly and caring. He sent an estimate that same evening. (The estimate from the local company came a couple of days later, and it was for a higher amount.) Work started this morning and so far it is going well -- permit posted, Miss Utility came, and Nelson started cutting the sidewalk and digging. "My main water supply pipe had burst so I called multiple companies. Faruk was the first to respond and show up on a weekend to inspect the damage and provide an estimate. Things I like about this company: 1. They were extremely responsive to my needs and questions 2. They honored their estimate even though there were a couple of unforeseen obstacles which increased the length of the project and possibly the cost to them 3. They negotiated the estimate lowering it considering my situation 4. They took care of all permits and inspections 5. They cleaned up after the project was done to the best of their abilities 6. They were upfront and honest about the damage to my lawn due to excavations 7. They were very courteous and professional Things they could improve: 1. The project took a little longer than anticipated. A lot of their work was manual which could have been fast tracked with the use of machinary i.e. digging etc. 2. We replaced the entire main pipe assuming that it was defective/polybutelene pipe since it was underground and flooded. We layer found out it was not the case but they proceeded anyway rather than fixing the broken length. While I think it was probably the safest choice it may not have been necessary and they never brought it up later."

I immediately recalled a prior summertime repair from a different company whereby my system was deemed to be at the end of its useful life. Two wires (yes two) were found unconnected at the safety pressure switch. A toggle switch on the Trane Gas valve was found in the off position also. This system will go another ten years, I'm convinced of that, but it appears this Vienna, VA outfit felt that they could make the case with dubious business practices."

"Five plumbing companies provided quotes to replace the main sewer line and install an in-ground clean out at my house. Mr. Rooter's quote was not the least expensive but it was the most reasonable and professional. Every person I dealt with was consultative, courteous and good at what they do. The work started on time and finished in about 4 hours. The only surprise was a good one: the technician discovered a second clean-out needed to be installed at the street end and did that at no additional cost, a good job done right. Everything cleaned-up neatIy afterward including the street. I watched the excavator operator do his thing and was impressed to see surgical precision achieved with heavy equipment and a joystick - from digging the trench in a narrow section next to the house, to filling it back in and then grading it perfectly (it rained heavily about an hour after work finished and all the runoff flowed exactly where it's supposed to go). One week, 14 long showers, 10 giant loads of laundry and countless toilet flushes later, the outflow is working better than it ever did before.
